FAQs

Where are you located?

I offer both in-person sessions in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York and telehealth sessions throughout New York State. I am licensed to practice in New York.

What can I expect from virtual sessions?

Virtual sessions are conducted over a secure video platform that protects your privacy. Once your appointment is confirmed, I’ll provide you with a link to join the session. For the best experience, please choose a quiet and private location with a reliable internet connection, where you can feel comfortable and fully focused on our time together.

How is my privacy protected?

Your confidentiality is a priority in our work together. I adhere to the highest ethical standards to ensure your information is safeguarded. All sessions are held through HIPAA-compliant platforms, ensuring that what you share in therapy stays in therapy. The only exception is if there's an imminent risk of harm to you or others, as required by law.

How long will I need therapy?

The length of therapy varies based on your individual needs. Some clients working through recent events may only need a few sessions, while others dealing with more complex trauma may benefit from longer-term support, such as six months to a year or more. Throughout our work together, we’ll regularly review your goals and progress to ensure you’re clear on where we’re headed. I’ve found that the most meaningful change happens when clients are motivated and understand that healing takes time.

How often will we meet?

Sessions are typically held weekly, as consistency is crucial to the therapeutic process. As you make progress and reach your goals, we can discuss reducing the frequency of sessions.

Do you prescribe medication?

No, I do not prescribe medication. However, with my strong background working alongside a psychiatrist, I have a deep understanding of how psychiatric medications work and how they can complement therapy. If medication is something you’re considering or already using, I collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure that your treatment is integrated and supports your overall healing process.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance directly. However, I’m happy to provide a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Please check with your provider to see if my services are covered.

What are your fees?

Sessions are $200 for a 45-minute appointment.

Or $240 for a 60-minute appointment.
